Merchandising Manager
Job Description:
- Buying and selling: Working with store managers and department leaders to select profitable merchandise to buy. They may also negotiate prices with vendors.
- Planning and executing: Developing and implementing product merchandising strategies to maximize sales. This includes creating planograms to display products.
- Managing inventory: Ensuring shelves are stocked with the correct products and performing inventory checks.
- Building relationships: Maintaining positive relationships with vendors and representing the employer during communication.
- Analyzing data: Using data to determine how and when to discount products.
- Training staff: Ensuring store staff are knowledgeable about prices.
- Market research: Conducting market research to predict trends.
- Operations: Managing operations such as order execution, product development, material execution, and production planning.
