Production Manager

Job Description:

Ø Managing day-to-day production and assembly activities to ensure smooth and timely execution of production plans
Ø Monitoring production schedules, work progress, and ensuring timely completion of assigned jobs
Ø Maintaining accountability and proper utilization of raw materials, components, consumables, and other production resources
Ø Providing day-to-day guidance and support for effective manpower and resource management
Ø Allocating manpower and resources based on production priorities and workload
Ø Identifying bottlenecks in assembly and production processes and taking corrective actions
Ø Reducing and minimizing assembly time through process improvements, better planning, and efficient utilization of resources
Ø Improving overall production efficiency, productivity, and equipment/manpower utilization
Ø Coordinating with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted production activities
Ø Ensuring production activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards
Ø Monitoring product quality during various stages of manufacturing and assembly and taking corrective action for deviations
Ø Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety procedures, statutory requirements, and environmental guidelines
Ø Promoting safe working practices and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe production environment
Ø Monitoring daily production output, rejection/rework, productivity, material consumption, and other key production parameters
Ø Preparing and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly Production MIS reports and other management reports
Ø Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction, waste minimization, and process optimization
Ø Supporting implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and other productivity improvement initiatives
Ø Maintaining proper production records, work completion reports, and relevant documentation
Ø Supervising shop-floor activities and ensuring discipline, productivity, and adherence to defined processes
